Pysanka Eggs with Megan Henderson
Ukrainian Pysanka Eggs have been loved and created for centuries. They are decorated with traditional folk designs using a wax-resist method. The word pysanka comes from the verb pysaty "to write" or "inscribe" as the designs created are written with beeswax, not painted.
This fall Megan Henderson will share her years of design mastery to teach this unique and beautiful art form. Students will work with traditional tools, wax and dyes to create these lovely eggs.
Because artists will be working with hot wax, this class is open to adults and youths 16 years or older. Refreshments will be served both days.
