Grandparents & Grandkids Nativities

This class has been scheduled especially for Grandparents. For years grandparents picking up their grandkids on the day Nativity sets went home have asked me to offer this class. This way they can "team" work with their talented grandkids and then keep the beautiful little sets to enjoy at home. This two-part class will give students time to work with clay to create Mary, Joseph and Jesus, along with other traditional characters and animals. Students will learn basics of sculpting from one block of clay, scoring, detailing and more.

Nativity pieces will then dry and be bisque fired, this process will take a week, before we meet again to glaze (paint) each piece with beautiful colored glazes.

This art project has been loved by art students and their families for over over fifteen years. So, this season we are happy to offer a special "team grandparents & grandkids class."
