Bas Relief Tiles

These beautifully sculpted and colorful tiles will give young artists an opportunity to work with modeling clay, carving tools and plaster to create unique colorful pieces of art. Students will learn to carve out negative space from modeling clay to reveal a beautiful design that will then be cast in white plaster.

The name bas relief tiles comes from the French word bas, meaning “low” and relief meaning, “raised work.”
